Galveston College Athletics
Galveston College offers opportunities for students to participate in an Intercollegiate athletic program. Presently, the Whitecaps compete at the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division I level in Women’s Softball and Men’s Baseball. Our athletic program is a member of NJCAA and Region XIV Athletic Conference, we compete according to the regulations and policies of the NJCAA and Region XIV Athletic Conference.
As a Division I institution, we are allowed to offer fully-funded scholarships to students. Academically, our institution offers a university-parallel curriculum that is designed for transferring our students to the university level. Our student/athlete transfer rate to universities or 4-year colleges is 100% for those individuals completing two years of eligibility and graduating from Galveston College (this does not include players that accepted professional opportunities).
The Galveston College softball program is directed by Head Coach Ken Delcambre. Coach Delcambre anticipates an exciting year for the Whitecaps. They were the Region XIV Conference Champions in 2007 and 2008, and placed 7th overall in the NJCAA World Series. The coaches were named Coaching Staff of the Year by the NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association). Contact our Softball Coaches at (409) 944-1314 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
