Meet the Coaches
Head Baseball Coach
Chris Joblin is entering his sixth season as the Whitecaps Head Baseball Coach.
The 2017 Whitecaps were very competitive at the NJCAA Region XIV Tournament, finishing 5th and had a 35-22 overall record.
During Coach Joblin’s five years, the Whitecaps have continued academic excellence with an impressive cumulative team GPA, over 3.0 every year. Over the course of the last five years, the Whitecaps have sent 31 players on to the NCAA Division 1 level and had seven players drafted in the MLB draft, and another player sign as a free agent.
Coach Joblin is a graduate of the University of Central Missouri and was with UCM for three seasons while the Mules compiled a 143-45 record. The team won the MIAA regular season title once, the MIAA Tournament once, appeared in the regional championship three times, winning one regional championship, and placing fourth at the 2008 NCAA Division II World Series.
Prior to UCM, Coach Joblin played at Lamar Community College where they compiled a record of 94-27-1. Coach Joblin helped the team to two Empire Conference Championships, two Region IX Tournament Championships, and two Western District Playoff appearances. Both years the Runnin Lopes finished in the top 15 of the final national ranking, 4th in 2005.
Coach Joblin is from Eagle, ID, where he graduated from Eagle High School in 2003. He is the son of Richard and Carol Joblin, and has a sister, Shandy, and brother, Bryce.
Coach Joblin and his wife Teena are happily married, and reside in Galveston where they were married in August of 2012.
Assistant Baseball Coach
Kevin Lallmann enters his third season serving as the Whitecaps pitching coach. During his time, Galveston College has sent 12 pitchers on to the university level, and had one selected in the 2017 MLB draft.
Prior to coming to Galveston, Kevin was the head coach at Vernon College.
Coach Lallmann was an assistant coach and kinesiology professor at New Mexico Junior College.
Kevin started his coaching career at the University of Central Oklahoma.
Coach Lallmann has served as an associate scout for many organizations including the Cincinnati Reds, Pittsburgh Pirates, Boston Red Sox, Cleveland Indians, and currently holds that same position with the Chicago Cubs. He has also worked with USA baseball and spoke at many camps and clinics across the southwest.
Coach Lallmann grew up in Carlsbad, New Mexico where he played for the two time state champion Carlsbad Cavemen. After high school, Kevin played for New Mexico Junior College and Oklahoma Baptist University.
Kevin is married to Stacy, he has three daughters Katlyn 21, Taylor 17 and Tanner 15.

Monday through Thursday- 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Take 61st Street exit and turn right at stop light. Travel approximately one mile to Seawall Blvd. Turn left on to Seawall. Proceed down Seawall to 39th Street. (Gaido's Restaurant is at corner of 39th and Seawall). Turn left on 39th and travel north to Avenue Q. Turn left at 39th and Avenue Q and proceed one block to Main Campus. Main Campus parking is available on Avenue Q, Avenue R and satellite parking at 39th and Avenue Q.

Traveling south on I-45
Take Exit 1B toward 71st St. Merge onto frontage road/Broadway St. and travel approximately five blocks to the first stop sign. At the stop sign, turn left onto 71st St. Take the first left onto frontage road/Broadway St and continue on the frontage road for approximately five blocks to the Applied Technology Center campus.
From GC Main Campus
Travel west on Avenue Q toward 45th St. Turn right at 45th St. and proceed to the stop light on Broadway. Turn left onto Broadway and travel approximately one mile. Continue onto I-45 North to Exit 1C. Take Exit 1C and merge onto the frontage road/Broadway St. The Applied Technology Center will be on the right.
