Federal Pell Grant (PELL)

The Federal Pell Grant is awarded only to undergraduate students who have not earned a bachelor’s or professional degree. The Pell Grant does not have to repaid. This is an entitlement program with funding available to all eligible applicants, including those who apply after priority deadlines.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)

The Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG) is awarded to eligible undergraduate students who show exceptional financial need, those with the lowest Expected Family Contribution (EFC) number, i. e., 0 EFC. The actual amount will vary depending on the availability of funds and other financial aid the student is receiving. Galveston College’s FSEOG award amount is $200 per semester, with a minimum half-time enrollment.
