The following items are required before an on-campus housing assignment will be made:

  • ✓ Meningitis Shot Records
  • ✓ $300 Housing Fees - (Nonrefundable $100 Housing Application Fee and $200 refundable Housing Deposit)

Accommodations.

Special accommodation space in GC Student Housing is limited, is subject to availability, and is not guaranteed. Students requesting to receive consideration for Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) accommodations must: (1) verify their disability with the Special Services Office by completing all necessary paperwork and be determined eligible for services, and (2) in a timely manner provide medical documentation to the Special Services Office from a qualified medical professional stating the diagnosis or medical condition at issue, the accommodation needed, and why the specific accommodation is necessary or required. New applicants must submit this required medical documentation along with their application. If you require special housing assistance, please contact the Office of Special Services which is located in the Counseling and Advising Center in room M-150.   • ✓ Requests to cancel an application for housing must be received by the Office of Student Life in writing 30 days prior to the check-in date in order for the deposit to be refunded.

  • ✓ Requests for room deposit refunds, for students who chose not to return to student housing following the completion of the contract, must be requested from the student life coordinator within 30 days after to the end of the semester of residence.
  • ✓ If no roommate preference is noted, the Office of Student Life may assign one.
  • ✓ I authorize Galveston College the right to run my criminal history report as a potential housing resident. My housing application may be denied based on the results of that report.
  • ✓ Any student who has been designated as a sexually violent offender, sexually oriented offender, sexual predator, child-victim predator, habitual sex offender, or habitual child-victim offender or of any similar classification by any state or country, is not eligible for housing in any residence hall at Galveston College.
