What is the role of a History Major?

The purpose of an associate of arts degree in history is to prepare students for transfer into a bachelor’s degree history program at a four- year college or university. This program assists students who are planning careers as social science educators. Students successfully completing this program will understand the major social, economic and political issues affecting the development of the United States, Texas and Western Europe.
