Galveston College’s UnGala II Cabaret Au Lapin Agile-No Regrets Paris will thrill Islanders and near-Islanders alike on Saturday, October 14 at Galveston College. The event is planned for the College’s main campus in the Abe and Annie Seibel Foundation Wing from 6:30 until 10:30 p.m.
The magnificent Music Box Theater-Houston, professional performing arts troupe will perform custom-tailored music and comedy for the lucky 200 ticket holders who purchase tickets. It will be a “Port of Possibilities” songfest in almost every language ever spoken on Galveston Island and a few bawdy sea shanties for good measure.
The troupe will entertain with songs from the powerful contemporary musical Hamilton and other great American theatrical scores. Shearn’s Seafood and Prime Steaks, inarguably the most romantic haute cuisine on the Island, at renowned Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa & Convention Center will provide this year’s unequaled dining experience. Galveston College Culinary Arts students will work closely with master chefs for the College event. The UnGala Planning Group holds secrets close but there is a Cityscape and Country Day venue starting along about dusk plus entertainment and great food. And maybe a live auction trip or two to places that Francophiles love! Quebec? Montreal? New Orleans? Or even a Mediterranean cruise?
Un Gala II is dedicated in memory of Galveston College Regent, George Black. Black was a powerful champion for the College’s upcoming Nursing and Health Sciences Building. This fundraiser is being held in honor of his generous heart and loving spirit.
