Celebrate the American Nurses Association’s National Nurses Week May 6-12 at Galveston College by joining the first-year Associate Degree in Nursing students as they share their poster presentations on a variety of nursing topics.
National Nurses Week begins each year on May 6 and ends on May 12, which was the birthday of Florence Nightingale, the founder of modern nursing.
As of 1998, May 8 was designated as National Student Nurses Day, to be celebrated annually. International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world on May 12 of each year.
The theme for National Nurses Week in 2019 is 4 Million Reasons to Celebrate.
Posters will be displayed this week in the Regents Hall lobby.
