Galveston College will host Rice University Political Science Professor, Richard Stoll, who will present “Conflict in the World from the U.S. Point of View” during Galveston College’s 2023-24 “The State of the World” Lecture Series at 6 p.m. on April 9, 2024, in the Seibel Wing at the GC main campus.
The event is free and open to the public.
Stoll, who is a Baker Institute Rice Scholar, has published six books and numerous articles and book chapters. He has served as the Associate Dean of Social Sciences and as the Associate Director of Rice University’s James A. Baker III Institute for Public Policy.
While at Rice University, Stoll has won 10 teaching awards and was the recipient of the Association of Rice Alumni’s Meritorious Service Award. In 2013, he received the Office of Academic Advising’s Excellence in Advising Award and recently, he was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rice University Office of Academic Advising.
