The Galveston College Faculty Senate announced Tyree Bearden as its new president and Don Davison as new vice president on May 8 during the regular meeting of the Galveston Community College District Board of Regents.
“It is an honor to be the new Galveston College Faculty Senate president,” said Bearden, GC Program Director for the Electrical and Electronics Technology program. “I look forward to working alongside Faculty Senate Vice President Don Davison in representing our faculty.”
Bearden is joined by Davison, who has previously served as GC Faculty Senate vice president. Davison is a professor of Accounting and the GC Program Coordinator for Business Administration and Management.
