The Galveston College Visual Arts Department presents “Exploring Time, Memory, Transition and Transformation,” a Student Art Juried Exhibition, which will be on display Feb. 3-March 12 at the GC Art Gallery, located on the third floor of the college’s Fine Arts Building in Room FA-318.

A reception for the Student Art Juried Exhibition will be held on Feb. 11, from 4-5:30 p.m. The college’s Art Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. The exhibition is FREE and OPEN to the public. GC is located at 4015 Ave. Q in Galveston.

In a juried art exhibition, artists submit their artworks that best fit the criteria to be judged by a juror or jury. In this case, the Curator of the Galveston Arts Center, Dennis Nance, is the sole juror who will judge the students’ artwork. Nance will announce the award winners at the reception.
