Tina Sidelnik, manager of the Galveston College Bookstore, has announced modified operating procedures for the summer sessions.
Appointments Required
Appointments will be required for admission into the store. Between May 26 and June
11, students should call the bookstore at (409) 944-1260 to make an appointment prior
to coming to campus.
Because of COVID-19 restrictions, bookstore occupancy will be limited to five students. Setting an appointment will also help with the processing of students’ purchases, returns and buybacks.
Three Convenient Options
The Galveston College Bookstore is currently offering three options for students to
order books and supplies:
Curbside pickup
In-store pickup
Online shipping
Curbside Pickup
Curbside pickup will be located at the bookstore’s 41st Street/Jack Johnson Boulevard
entrance. Students should call (409) 944-1260 to arrange a time for pick up.
In-store Pickup
In-store pickups will be by appointment only. Call (409) 944-1260 for an appointment.
Online Shipping
Shipping charges will be applied to all online orders. Financial aid students require
a pre-approval letter before charging their accounts.
Financial Aid Bookstore Charges
Students who are paying with financial aid (grants, loans and scholarships) should
contact the Financial Aid Office first at [email protected] to determine eligibility.
Financial Aid bookstore charges begin June 1 and end June 11. Financial Aid book voucher
requests can be made via email. The request must come from a student’s Whitecaps email
and must include the student ID number.
Students will order item(s) as usual through the website and check the “pick up in store” option at checkout. In the notes section of the checkout screen, students will have to state one of the above delivery options and “financial aid” as a payment type before they finalize their transaction.
For more information or to schedule an appointment, contact the bookstore at (409) 944-1260.
