The Galveston College Office of Student Activities and Student Government Association have planned a Week of Welcome (WOW) from Aug. 26 to 29 in celebration of the beginning of the fall 2019 semester.

On Monday, Aug. 26, join the Student Government Association for free breakfast and beverages from 7:30-10 a.m. in the lobby of Moody Hall. Students will receive their official free Galveston College planner and will have an opportunity to meet the 2019-2020 SGA officers.

Later that day, there will be a Mix and Mingle with the SGA from 5-7 p.m. in the lobby of Moody Hall. Students are invited to enjoy free snacks and beverages, to play board games, to network, to pick up a free copy of the Galveston College planner and to meet the SGA officers.

On Tuesday, Aug. 27, join the Student Government Association for free breakfast and beverages from 7:30-10 a.m. in the lobby of Moody Hall. Students will receive their official free Galveston College planner and will have an opportunity to meet the 2019-2020 SGA officers.

From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 28, there will be a blood drive hosted by the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center in the Abe and Annie Seibel Foundation Wing – West.

On Thursday, Aug. 29, there will be a Game Truck Video Game Party from 3-5 p.m. in the parking area at Avenue Q 1/2 and 39th Street. The game truck is loaded with video consoles and a massive library of video games.

The Fall 2019 Involvement Fair is set for Tuesday, Sept. 10, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Mary Moody Northen Center Atrium. Student organizations, departments, programs and community organizations will host informational tables. Come to learn more about the many ways to get involved at Galveston College. Free pizza will be served.
