In a combined graduation ceremony, the Galveston College Law Enforcement Academy (LEA) Cadet Class 12(D) and Cadet Class 37(N) celebrated their graduation on May 21, 2024, in the Seibel Wing.

Overall, 14 cadets received their Basic Peace Officers certification during the ceremony with their family and friends in attendance.

GC LEA Cadet Katieanne De Leon was selected the Class 12(D) valedictorian while Cadet Pablo Lopez was selected the Class 37(N) valedictorian.

The graduating cadets were Kristina Ahmetlli, Katieanne De Leon, Dalton J. Eischen, Luis A. Garrido, Anthony Haynes, Elizabeth Sandoval, Peter A. Smith, Evan M. Snider, Hunter D. White, Aneesha R. Young, Leonardo V. Gonzalez, Pablo A. Lopez, Christian J. McLain and Anthony M. Villarreal.

The keynote speaker for the graduation ceremony was Andre Mitchell, the assistant chief of the Galveston Police Department. He offered the graduating cadets inspiring words of encouragement, advice and support as they begin their careers in law enforcement.
