The National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN) is the required exam to obtain a license and the Galveston College Licensed Vocational Nursing program students passed with flying colors to achieve a 100% pass rate.

“The student's dedication is evident through the extensive studying and long hours invested in preparation for the NCLEX, as well as the hands-on experience gained during clinical rotations,” said Galveston College Vocational Nursing Coordinator, Angie Hoermann. “This commitment ensures our students are well-prepared to deliver exceptional nursing care to their patients.”

Assisting Hoermann in the success of GC’s vocational nursing students was Aneatrice Farr, who was the vocational nursing clinical instructor for the cohort which helped in preparing them for the exam, and is currently the college’s Associate Degree Nursing program adjunct clinical instructor.
