In this dramatization by Edward Mast based on the stories of Rudyard Kipling, Mowgli, the rescued child, grows up in the concrete jungle, raised on the streets and learns the rules of society from Baloo. Sherakhan sees the outsider as a threat and has a vendetta against Mowgli, but Bagheera, his secret protector, won’t let any harm come to the boy.
Mowgli grows up wild and unconcerned, believing he is just like everyone else and that the streets are his home. While he learns the laws of this modern jungle, Mowgli begins to understand his own identity and that he has no place in this society.
As tensions grow between Mowgli and Sherakhan, the boy must choose whether to disregard his society’s strict moral code or leave the only place he has called home.
