Chef Paul Mendoza and his Culinary Arts students at Galveston College invite faculty, staff and the general public to join them for the spring scholarship luncheon on Thursday, March 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Atrium of the Mary Moody Northen Center at Galveston College.

The students will present a garde manger buffet with a variety of appetizers and savory bites. The buffet project is the culmination of the students’ study of charcuterie products like sausages, pates and terrines, as well as smoking and curing of meats/fish, hors d’oeuvres, salads and condiments.

There will be sweet items for dessert, as well.

Tickets are $20, and reservations may be made by calling Mari Macias at (409) 944-1404 or [email protected].

Proceeds help fund Culinary Arts scholarships for deserving students.
