Galveston College is hosting a job recruitment event for the 2020 U.S. Census from
8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20, in the Moody Hall lobby, 4015 Avenue
Q, Galveston.
The U.S. Census Bureau wants to hire up to 500,000 temporary, part-time census takers
for the 2020 census.
Anyone above the age of 18 can apply, including people who already have jobs and want
to earn extra income on evenings and weekends.
The selection process began in January, with paid training occurring in March and
April and work beginning in May.
The position offers competitive pay, flexible hours, paid training and weekly paychecks.
