The Galveston College Theatre Department announces the presentation of the profound dramatic comedy, “Love & Information” by Caryl Churchill, which will run April 20-22 at the Galveston College Fine Arts Building.

Under the direction of GC faculty Eric P. Holm and Liz Lacy, “Love & Information” details how we use technology to interact with one another, for better or worse. In this fast-moving kaleidoscope of more than 50 short scenes, an array of characters pose the question, “In a time when technology has an ever-greater effect on our lives and attention spans, how do our relationships hold up?”

Show dates and times for the GC Theatre Department’s production of “Love & Information” are April 20 at 7:30 p.m., April 21 at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. and April 22 at 7:30 p.m. The production will be held in Room FA-207, located on the second floor of the GC Fine Arts Building on the college’s main campus. The performance is free and open to the public.

“Love & Information” is recommended for mature audiences as it contains adult themes, discussions of sex/sexuality and mental illness and a reference to torture.

Company members include: Eva Arita, Elijah Barrie, Daniel Bourque, Gisselle Garcia, Alyssa Gudz, Chad Keith, Gabby Reyes, Diana Riojas and Carson Sims. “Love & Information” is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

The Galveston College Theatre Department offers a professional immersive training experience for all students within the disciplines of acting, playwrighting, directing, design and technology. Four productions a year and a diverse range of theatre courses provides every opportunity for students to develop their theatrical skills. Scholarships are available. Summer and fall 2023 registration begins April 10.
