Mr. Ron Crumedy serves as the Vice President for Student Services at Galveston College, providing executive oversight for a comprehensive range of student-centered programs, including Admissions and Records, Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs, Student Activities, Residence Life, TRIO programs, Academic Advising and Counseling, Testing and Assessment, Student Accessibility  and initiatives supporting student success, retention, and completion.

With over two decades of leadership at Galveston College, Mr. Crumedy has advanced initiatives that expand access, enhance student engagement, and strengthen academic pathways. His work has been instrumental in increasing enrollment post-pandemic while creating a culture of care that emphasizes connection, basic needs support, and holistic student development. As a first-generation college student, Mr. Crumedy brings both lived experience and executive expertise to his leadership. Prior to his appointment as Vice President, he served as Associate Vice President for Student Services, Acting Vice President for Student Services and Director of Financial Aid, Dean of Student Services and Director of Financial Aid, and Director of Financial Aid.

His educational journey has shaped his commitment to service and transformation. He holds a Bachelor’s degree In Psychology from Grambling State University and a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Texas Southern University. He is currently a doctoral candidate pursuing the Ph.D. in Executive Urban Higher Education Leadership at Jackson State University.
