Galveston College’s Continuing Education began registration after launching its new slate of programs for spring 2026, which
offer a long list of learning, growth and opportunities, including the new Shipfitting
and Pipefitting programs.
GC’s Shipfitting and Pipefitting programs offer hands-on training for high-demand
careers in shipbuilding and industrial trades. The programs have scholarships available,
making it easier than ever to start building your tomorrow in the skilled trades.
The college is also expanding its Allied Health programs through CE, including Certified
Nursing Assistant (CNA), Phlebotomy Technician, EKG Technician and Certified Clinical
Medical Assistant (CCMA) courses. Many of these programs get students job-ready in
as little as eight weeks and prepare them for national certification and immediate
employment in the growing healthcare field.
In addition to workforce programs, GC offers a variety of personal enrichment courses
in areas like art, cooking, fitness and wellness, providing opportunities to explore
a new hobby or enhance well-being.
