Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Administration
This program provides students who already hold an associate degree with a clear pathway to earn their bachelor’s degree. The curriculum emphasizes core business principles and is designed to prepare graduates for leadership and management roles in a variety of organizational settings.
Students will strengthen their communication and critical thinking abilities, gaining the tools to navigate complex, real-world challenges. The program also integrates legal and ethical considerations, ensuring graduates are equipped to make responsible and informed decisions in today’s business environment.

Admissions Criteria: Students must complete the admissions requirements to the College. Admissions to Galveston College does not guarantee admission to the BAS-BA program. Admissions criteria for the BAS-BA program also includes:
- An earned Associate Degree in an acceptable major including but not limited to business administration, general studies, or other workforce programs.
- Complete the 32-credit hour core curriculum as described in the college catalog.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.

This program concludes with a capstone in business administration that will allow students to work on a real-life business problem and develop skills that will serve them in their roles as a business leader.

Additionally, career opportunities in business administration and management in the greater Houston area are projected to continue to grow through 2033, mirroring national trends. Jobs in business and financial occupations have grown 25.3% from 2017-2024 and are expected to grow another 13.4% by 2033.
