Galveston College Learning Assistants

What is the Learning Assistants Program?

The Learning Assistants (LA) Program at Galveston College is a proven educational approach that involves students who have succeeded in a course working to learn how to help the next group of students succeed in that course. This program promotes active learning and teamwork through discussions, labs, and lectures. The goal of the LA program is to empower students by fostering an inclusive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to ask questions, engage, explain concepts, and deepen their understanding. Galveston College is among over 590 institutions worldwide that offer an LA program. More information here.
